Cusco welcomes us, and from there we head to Soraypampa, the gateway to the trek.

We ascend to Humantay Lake and cross the highest pass of the trail before descending to Wayraqmachai.

The mountains turn green and the climate shifts as we push toward Lucmabamba. Hot springs, rest, and a breather in the middle of the path.

The route takes us to Hidroeléctrica and continues toward Aguas Calientes.

We sleep at the foot of Machu Picchu, ready for the grand finale.

We arrive at Machu Picchu and explore the citadel at a slow pace, connecting with the history of the ancient Inca Empire.
